Early College Experience Program

The Early College Experience Program (ECEP) is now accepting applications for the Fall 2015.  The ECEP allows students to spend their junior and senior years of high school as students at Cape Cod Community College.  At the end of the two years, students not only graduate with their high school diploma, but also earn an Associate's Degree from CCCC.  This program is free of cost to Bourne students, with the exception of books and transportation. Current sophomores with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply.  Applications are available in the guidance office and should be completed by April 30th.

Mass Maritime Dual Enrollment

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Dual Enrollment program provides qualified high school students the opportunity to take a transferable, introductory college course at no cost (except the purchase of a textbook). Courses offered this year include English Composition (3 credits), Chemistry (3.5 credits), and Introduction to Emergency Management (3 credits).  To qualify for dual enrollment, students must have greater than a 3.0 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale), submit current transcripts, and be endorsed by their guidance counselor or school principal and parent/guardian.

Classes will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday evenings, beginning on March 4th. Registration forms are attached here, and are also available on our at

Financial Aid Information

Unfortunately, MEFA does not have the resources to support a Financial Aid Seminar at Bourne High School this year.  Please see the Powerpoint below from the seminar, and also check out the Financial Aid tab for more helpful handouts.  If you would still prefer to attend a seminar, there will be one at Barnstable High School on December 8th at 6:00 pm.

College Fairs

Juniors and seniors are encouraged to check out one of two local college fairs.  Over 180 colleges, technical schools, and Armed Services will be represented.  Admission is free and all students and parents are welcome.

   Tuesday, October 13th 6:00-8:30 pm at Plymouth South High School

Wednesday, October 21th 3:30-5:30 pm at Barnstable High School

College Application Workshop

Guidance will be hosting a College Application Workshop for all seniors who plan on applying to college this year.  The workshop will be held during the Enrichment Block, on Thursday, September 25th.  Please get a pass from Mrs. Cox in the guidance office if you plan on attending.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for sophomores or juniors who would like to mentor a student at Peebles Elementary! The program requires a commitment through fall of 2015. You would be required to meet with your assigned “little brother/sister” one afternoon a week to do things like play board games, do art projects, or play outside on the playground. If interested please come to an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 16th after school.
