College Admissions Night This Wednesday!

The Bourne High School Guidance Department will host a College Admissions Night on Wednesday, May 6th at 5:45 PM in the Library Media Center.  Our Guest Speaker is Brian Murphy, former Dean of Admissions and Enrollment at Stonehill College.  Mr. Murphy will provide valuable information (and inside tips) about the college admissions process.  All Bourne High School junior and sophomore parents and students are encouraged to attend this meeting.  Please call our guidance office with any questions at 508-759-0676.

MEFA Paying the College Bill Seminar

Seniors--So you've received your college acceptances and financial aid award letters, but now what??  MEFA's Paying the College Bill Seminar will help you navigate the next steps:  understanding and analyzing the financial aid you've been offered, determining your balance due, learning about college payment plans, and choosing the right options for your situation.  

Barnstable High School will be hosting this seminar this coming Monday, April 13th.  All are welcome!

There are also a live webinar being held at mefa.org on Wednesday, April 15th.

FAFSA Day at Cape Cod Community College

Cape Cod Community College will hold a FAFSA Day on Sunday, April 12th from 12:00-2:00 in the Lorusso Technology Building.  Don't miss the state's May 1st deadline for filing your FAFSA.  Bring your tax documents, W2s, benefit statements.  Financial aid and admissions staff will assist you in completing your form.

MEFA Paying the College Bill Seminar

Early College Experience Program

The Early College Experience Program (ECEP) is now accepting applications for the Fall 2015.  The ECEP allows students to spend their junior and senior years of high school as students at Cape Cod Community College.  At the end of the two years, students not only graduate with their high school diploma, but also earn an Associate's Degree from CCCC.  This program is free of cost to Bourne students, with the exception of books and transportation. Current sophomores with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply.  Applications are available in the guidance office and should be completed by April 30th.
